Instant Messaging Data Service™ (IMDS™)

IMDS™ is a cost effective, high impact, Business Intelligence platform that provides Message Alerting and Notification services that create real-time interactions between systems, devices and individuals.

IMDS is a strategic server platform that provides a turn-key solution for Business Intelligence and Information Delivery. Prior releases of IMDS provided the capability to integrate existing data and systems and turn key business metrics into “actionable events”. These “actionable events” are distributed to a diverse set of devices including e-mail, pagers, cell phones and Instant Messaging chat applications. IMDS V2.0 has been enhanced to deliver additional key services that include Publish/Subscribe, Presence Management and enhanced Messaging Alerting and Notification across telephony for broader reach and range across all mediums.

The IMDS Server provides integration capabilities through its Data Enablers. A Data Enabler is a component of the IMDS platform that integrates with applications or data sources to gain access to the real-time information that exists regardless of type, format, location, or platform. Centralized data or a pre-existing data warehouse is NOT required. The Data Enabler’s objective is to interface with applications or data sources for the purposes of detecting important events or key business indicators within the content. These events and key business indicators comprise the business metrics that are required to publish “actionable events”.

Data Enablers are customizable and cater to many requirements, data sources, applications and data feeds. Integrated Data Enablers lend themselves perfectly to keeping staff or field representatives up to the minute with regard to shipments, order changes, price changes, mortgage foreclosures, inventory depletion, a drop or rise in a threshold and much more. IMDS eliminates the need for staff to continuously scan or search data or reports, thus doing the work for you to provide efficiency, accuracy, reach and range and zero latency.

The IMDS Server provides analysis, reporting and distribution of business metrics based on individual profiles. These profiles cause real-time data delivery and provide the foundation for decision making and business intelligence. Presence is used to determine when a user, device or application becomes available for processing. If information cannot be delivered, IMDS is aware and will hold the data until it can be delivered.
