Student / Faculty Awareness Solutions™ - (SFA™)

GMx Solutions announces the delivery of Student / Faculty Awareness Solutions (SFA™), which are based on its software platform, IMDS™ (Instant Messaging Data Services). IMDS is a cost effective, high impact, pattern detection, message alerting and notification server that provides a toolset and platform for unattended operations. The IMDS School District Solution provides capabilities for automated notifications and alerting so that manual interactions and inaccuracies of information are minimized. Student & Faculty Solutions:

Historically, information that must be disseminated is processed manually and entails much latency, sometimes incurring delays of days if not weeks after the information is available. Some examples include class availability, distribution of grades, attendance details, changes with student accounts, availability of extra-curricular activities, details of school team activities, field trips, and more. The dissemination of critical information requires manual intervention, such as phone calls, paperwork or word of mouth. This typically results in inaccuracies and time delays. One of the most important aspects of lack of awareness is the lack of procedures; information just simply is not made available. Even when school systems contain the information, it is often not looked at by students, parents or faculty. Examples may include a school website, papers sent home with the student or postings on premises. Critical information that is time sensitive can now instantly reach its recipients.
